Banzo is an original musical project, materialized as a visual EP composed of four a cappella tracks. The visuals for each track are interconnected through a narrative that proposes the meeting of two characters: two Black women who look alike, are the same age, and could be the same person—only living in different time periods. The lyrics of the songs represent what one says to the other in this encounter.
Inspired by and grounded in the Afrofuturist movement, the project includes a music video for one of the tracks, along with styleframes and a storyboard for the remaining three.
